Dornier DO 27-A1 D-EIBE for FS 98, Version 2.0, 03/25/99 .
by Jerry Arzdorf, enhanced by Larry Haines.

The DO 27 was derived for the DO 25. The light utility
aircraft was used as an ambulance and freighter as well as
carring 5 persons. It was used by the German
and Spanish military. First flight was in June of 1955.
A total of 680 were built. 50 were built by CASA of
Spain as the CASA C 127.

This Version is modeled after the original DO 27, A1-Type, D-EIBE,
owned and operated by the "Fuerstenberg Fallschirm-Team" (Skydyving Team).
Their home base is Schwenningen (EDTS), a small airfield in south Germany.
If you can't visit them there, you should at least visit their home page,

   http://www.FF-Team.de

If you have questions about the original airplane, just drop us a note
to webmaster@FF-Team.de .

This version does have a visible panel, landing lights, strobe lights and working flaps.

Larry Haines (Haineshrway@worldnet.att.net) provided the panel for this plane.
This is actually the first FS98 panel for a Dornier DO 27, we know of.
It is based on photos from the original panel and features most
of the original and important instruments from the real aircraft, D-EIBE.

Press Shift-2 to see the additional radio stack.

The radio stack also features a GPS, requires installation of the ACS GPS package !
The ACS GPS can be found on www.flightsim.com.

Press Shift-3 to see the ruder indicator.

The tachometer is a very rare two hand-Clock version, only found on
Dornier's DO 27, specially designed by Chuck Domes (chdome@worldnet.att.net).
Note, the tachometer shows a max rpm of 2700. Since the DO 27 has a gear box, actually
max rpm should be 3400. But due to a bug in FS98, 2700 is the max rpm an
aircraft with a prop can do.

Please note: If you remove original aircraft, panels, or sounds you
will have trouble installing my FS98 planes and trucks. I use parts
and sounds from the other planes.

Unzip, (with winzip), to the /AIRCRAFT directory. The subdirectories
will be made for you.
