                             INFORMATION

All files in the accompanying archive are freeware, and must not be distributed
for profit.

This aircraft based on the Twin Otter (Noble Air colours) by Barry
Blaisdell (NBB-DHC6.ZIP) and includes visual enhancements by Evert Valla, and
the improved FS98 flight model by Basil Copeland (TPFMP10.ZIP); LIAT repaint
by Iain Murray, Dundee.

Recommended Add-ons:
As installed, this aircraft will use the default 737 panel and sounds. For a more
realistic flight, the following are recommended:
Panel:
DHC6V100.ZIP by Scott MacMillan (from http:/flightsim.com) is an excellent
Twin Otter panel. DHC6PNL.ZIP by Svein Holbo is also a good panel (from
   http://www.sol.no/games/flightsim/norway98/whatnew.html)
Sounds:
   DHC6WAV.ZIP (from http://www.sol.no/games/flightsim/norway98/whatnew.html)
contains a set of authentic Twin Otter sounds.

The Twin Otter is manufactured by de Havilland Canada, and is a short-range
STOL 18-seater with two turboprop engines. Over 800 Twin Otters have been
built, and it continues to see service throughout the world.

LIAT (pronounced Lee-at) was previously the Leeward Islands Air Transport
Service Limited ("The Caribbean Airline"), but this is now just a name!
LIAT has been around since its inception in the 1950's to offer a high-
frequency inter-island flights in an intensive schedule to over 27
destinations across the Eastern Caribbean, achieving over 200 landings
per day. The average sector for a LIAT airplane is about 30 minutes, and
any given aircraft on line will normally do more than 15 gruelling sectors
a day. The airline operates de Havilland aircraft - now just DASH-8s as the
DHC-6 Twin Otters have recently been withdrawn. The V2- registration denotes
Antigua & Barbuda.

More information on LIAT is available from:
http://www.candoo.com/liat/index.htm
The visual model is based on aircraft photos from the LIAT website.

My thanks to Capt. Jim Lynch (LIAT, retired) for contacting me and giving
me the idea to do this aircraft (when I discovered that no LIAT aircraft
were available for MSFS)! Note that this aircraft has appeared with and
without the "liat" lettering on the tail.

For information, this freeware aircraft was repainted entirely using
freeware and shareware tools. The original texture files were repainted
by converting to BMP format using Texture Converter by Kai Wang-Erlandsen
(TEXCON01.ZIP) then recoloured using Paint Shop Pro, before being converted
back with Texture Converter. The text in the FS98 AIR file was edited using
the Aircraft Dynamics Editor by Ian Donohoe (ADE98-134.ZIP) and the names of
the texture files were changed in the MDL file using Breakpoint Software's
Hex Workshop (HW32V22.ZIP).

Have a good flight!
