GENERAL:

Thank you for downloading this aircraft pack

This depiction of the Cessna U-3A was based on photographs of the real thing. The real aircraft is a
restoration of a U.S. Navy Cessna 310B known as a U-3A or the Blue Canoe. The U.S.N.
used them for pilot proficiency checks, personnel transport and other duties
and I believe around a dozen or so were aquired from the US Air Force and Army.
This aircraft was bought as a stock C310 by Dave Miller in 1994, he has since done
a complete rebuild on it and transformed it into an aircraft representitive of the U-3's
of the 1960's. He has since won the Best Replica Warbird at both Sun 'n Fun
and EAA AirVenture Oshkosh. It was the article in December '98's Sport Aviation
magazine that inspired me to produce this panel and to ask Chris Lampard to build
the aircraft.

For those who are interested there is also a sound file set that accompanies
this package, called U3Asnd1.

If you have any comments on the panel then please e-mail Dave. Comments
on the aircraft to Chris.

CREDITS:

Thanks to Michel Polski for his PANMAKE V.2.5.3 (Shareware), an excelent program to easily
make panels for FS98, the first 100 sesions are free, after this you have to register it.
Thanks a lot to Eric Ernst (Gauges), who makes the best civil panels available on the net,
Chuck Dome (Who makes some of the best gauges and utilities), Phil Perrot (inspiration),
who makes the best military panels on the net.
Please do not feel offended if I don't mention you here, as there are so many people who
indirectly helped me to do this. I don't know all of you but you know who you are.
The panel was a creation of all posted here and the others that don't appear. Thanks to all of you.

INSTALLATION:
************

You MUST use the free Microsoft Converter for FS98 becouse this panel requires it.

1.- Unzip the gauges.zip files into your FS98 gauges directory. I decided to leave THE ORIGINAL
GAUGE NAMES OF THE MAjOR GAUGES IN THE ZIP FILE, as I didn,t know all the people who had designed them, so if you see one of your gauges please e-mail me, I apologise in advance for not contacting all those whom I do not mention in the thank you's above.

2.- unzip the aircraft files into a temp. file then transfer them to your
FS98 AIRCRAFT folder.

The panel works in any resolution, though I have been able to test the panel in 3d using a Matrox M3d card and in 3Dfx using
a Voodoo 2 card, I do not know if it will work with any other type of 3d accelerator.
It was in fact made for 1280x768 but should be OK for 800x600.
