The Fleet Canuck 80 for Fs2002 Only. A pair of Canadian Fleet Canuck 80 aircraft to explore the great new Fs2002 northland airports and lakes. Each aircraft features a full virtual cockpit with working gauges and controls, panel, sounds and includes test flight check rides to become familiar with their operation. These aircraft are portrayed in their current day state with aged and yellowed plexiglass windows, paint chips etc... By Bill Lyons, Member, Golden Eagles Squadron, October, 2001.

Installation: Just unzip the file InstallC.zip directly into your main fs2002 folder. This unzipping action will place the two Canucks into your Aircraft folder, install all necessary gauges and create two check ride test flights in My Flights. If you have a fast computer and are happy with the default pan rate in the virtual cockpit mode then you are finished installing... If you would like a faster pan rate open the fs2002.cfg file using Notepad and increase the pan rate under [Controls] from 400 to 900... This will allow a faster, more realistic view change as you swing around or up and down using the hat switch.

Operation; Boot up fs2002 and on the main page under My Saved Flights select the Canuck 80 Test Flight. This will place the aircraft on the active runway at Barrie, Ontario ready to fly.. You must use the checklist to start the aircraft as the flight sets it up with all power and engine off. Please use the ATC feature to announce your intentions. There is a complete IFR radio stack and GPS available at shift/2 and shift/3 for inclement weather flying. After flying the wheel panted version for some float plane fun you can select the Canuck 80 on Floats Test Flight and again follow the instructions on the checklist.. One note on the textures.... The photograph of the pilot's girlfriend taped to the panel in the float version can be customized to be one of your significant other or anything else you want by opening the texture "photo.bmp" using any paint program and pasting in a 256x256x256 color photo...

History: The history and specications for this great Canadian light/bush plane is contained in the aircraft notes.txt file for each version. I wish to thank Mr. Kenneth Kerr of VIP for bringing this aircraft to my attention and providing the super photographs of CF-DPZ which have made it a pleasure to build and fly. Also thanks to the unknown author of the Fb.mixture gauge of whom I have lost track.. Most thanks go to the members of the Golden Eagles Squadron who are great bunch of flightsim artists who have joined together to help each other keep the tradition of low key fun freeware alive in Fs2002.. Empasis will be on classic and vintage aircraft. This package is the first of many you will be seeing in the next months as we explore the wonderful new world of fs2002 that Microsoft has provided us.
