This panel (along with the E-18 version) came up as a suggestion, made by David Sakrison, a
journalist from Ripon, Wisconsin. He sent me detailed specifications about the panel, and some
photos, via regular mail service. By the same time, Shlomo Hakim was already creating the
flight model, also asked by David. I really like to work with Hakim. His work is excellent.

Due to the quality of the information provided by David, I decided to create two panels : one
for the D-18 version (the one Shlomo built) and another one for the E-18. Both will be released
at once, so, you'll probably see them together, along with the aircraft.

I figured that the wipers (due to their details) reduced the frame rate (in my 2Mb PCI card).
I don't know how it'll work in 3D cards, but I guess it won't be a problem at all.

Well, this is supposed to be an older style panel, so, modifications in order to change its
layout won't be accepted. Let's keep it this way, OK ?

A "modernized" layout is provided in the E-18 version, as asked by Mr. Sakrison (hey, he
provided me and Hakim with all the information we could want, I guess he has the right to ask...)
But don't expect a full IFR package, or screens. This panel is modernized as of 1960, or so.

Installation
------------
 - Choose an aircraft of your preference (I STRONGLY suggest Hakim's ...)
 - Make a backup of its PANEL.CFG file (just in case)
 - extract the files D18.BMP and PANEL.CFG to the chosen \panel folder,
 - extract all the .GAU files to the \Gauges\ folder of FS98

Load the aircraft and you'll see my panel.

I left some of the gauges with their original names, in case you already have them. So, you
won't need to have a copy of the same gauge, with another name. If a message appears asking to
overwrite, it's up to you. Probably, it's the same gauge you have. Look at the file sizes. If
they are the same ...

A few issues (hey guys, this is important):

 ************************************************************************************************
*- This panel was not tested in 3dFx mode, because I don't have a 3D card yet. *
 * So, claims asking for a 3DFX fix cannot be solved for a while. Sorry :) *
 * IF YOU'RE A PANEL DESIGNER OR HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE TO CORRECT IT IN ORDER TO WORK IN 3DFX MODE *
 * DO IT AND TELL ME. SO I CAN GIVE YOU THE AUTHORIZATION TO POST IT
