ANTONOV AN-22 ANTHEUS HEAVY TRANSPORT-RUSSIAN (V2.0) @C Johan Crous 1998.
*************************************************************************
The AN-22 is a Russian heavy long range turboprop transport. There are
both military and civilian versions. Aeroflot is still flying the
type in USSR and this huge monster is an excellent performer in
places like Syberia & undeveloped countries. The plane is still the
biggest prop in the world. This big bird is capable of landig and
take-off from very short landing strips for the size of it. This plane
is unfortunately very noisy for a prop, but still within limits.

Take-off is done with flaps at 15 degrees. You can rotate at 140 kt sharp
but at that slow speed do not climb with a higher climb rate that 1000
fpm. The engines is very powerfull so be carefull for overspeeding, even
   while climbing just after take-off.
The range at flight level 32 000 feet is +/- 5950 nm as if max fuel and
   payload of 45 000 kg.
