FS2004 Luscombe 8A
The Luscombe 8A was a early post war all metal plane that was a contemporary of the Cessna 140. The Luscombe was unique in that it featured side-by-side dual joy sticks rather than dual control yokes. I saw many of these nice little monoplanes when I was learning to fly in 1948 at BZN in Bozeman Montana.
I recently found some decent 3 views at Bob's Air Docs so decided to proceed with this project. It features moving parts, pilot figure, alpha channel reflective surfaces and nav and landing lights. It also has a 2D panel based on a drawing and a VC with operating gauges. This is a FSDSv 2.24 project and I compiled it directly into FS2004. I haven't tested it in any other sim and I don't believe it is compatible with any other sim.

INSTALLATION: Unzip Lus8.zip into a temporary folder. Copy the file Luscombe 8 into the Aircraft folder of FS2004. Open the "gauges" folder and copy the one gauge into the Gauges folder of FS2004. Close everything and fire up FS2004. This pkane will show in the Aircraft selection list under Luscombe as Lus 8.

PANEL AND SOUND: The 2D panel is based on a drawing and the gauges are all default except for the thottle gauge. I aliased the Piper J-3 default sound file as it is reasonanably appropriate.

LEGAL: This project is released as freeware. You may modify it, repaint it, etc., upload to another website as long as it is not for profit. You need my written permission to use any of these files for commercial purposes; otherwise just give me credit for the original design. This airplane should not hurt your computer but I am not responsible if it causes problems.
